Golden Thread
By: Lori A. Zybala
one piece / held together by a single thread
outside the fringe of existence, the treasure hidden
a silent keeper / lexicographer protector
blanket of memories, pull the thread through
the aperture shall start again
as words lay in-waiting, letting their guard down
a day given, a new thread
gather / weave / be intentional
restitch each golden thread, heirloom of existence
held together by an invisible thread

No experience is too slight, the tiniest event unfolds like fate, and fate itself is like a large and marvelous tapestry in which every thread has been guided by a supremely delicate hand, and placed beside another thread, and is now held there borne by a hundred others. - Rainer Maria Rilke, 'Letters to a Young Poet'
